Spending Christmas at home? Here’s how to make it fun
Christmas is creeping closer and closer, but it’s likely to look a little different for most of us this year. That doesn’t have to mean that you have to miss your uncle’s crazy stories, the cosy atmosphere or the gifts, though! Physically getting together may not be possible this year, but you don’t have to miss out on seeing family or friend all-together. Read on for our tips on how to make the most of Christmas at a distance.
Cool things you can do from home
Tip #1: Send Christmas wishes
Bring back the tradition of sending a personal Christmas card to family and friends. Make it extra special this year by going for a personalised wooden Christmas card featuring the photo(s) and text of your choice.

Tip #2: Organise a digital Christmas dinner
Plan a video call for all of your loved ones and enjoy your Christmas dinner together. Send everyone a menu beforehand, so you can all enjoy the same meal. Set the table and make it Christmassy, and then; bon apetit!
Tip #3: Watch a cheesy Christmas movie together
There are so many cheesy Christmas movies out there, so organise a movie night and watch your favourite classics at the same time. Fill the largest mug you own with hot chocolate and marshmallows, grab a cosy fleece blanket and send everyone a personalised chocolate bar to enjoy during the movie.

Tip #4: Secret Santa
There’s nothing better than surprising your loved ones with a personal gift, and traditions are traditions for a reason. Why not mix things up and organise a Secret Santa? Have the gifts delivered to your address, wrap them in personalised wrapping paper and deliver them to your loved ones’ doorsteps. If your loved ones live further away, have their gift shipped to their address and video call each other when opening the gifts.

Tip #5: Decorate your Christmas tree
You can keep your loved ones close, even if you can’t get together for Christmas. Create your very own personalised Christmas baubles featuring photos of your loved ones and add them to your Christmas tree! You could even gift your loved ones a set featuring your own photo, so they can keep you close, too. If you have enough baubles to last a lifetime, another fun idea is to create a garland using polaroid prints.

Tip #6: Game night
Games are an integral part of Christmas! Invite your family and friends to a digital game night, using one of the many available apps. Bring out your competitive side and have some fun with your favourite classics or brand new games together.
It may not be Christmas as we know it this year, but hopefully, we’ll all be able to make the very best of it, even if we can’t be together, while also staying safe.
